From a young age my love of both horses and art have always been strong and am so lucky to be able to combine both together whilst creating animal portraits. I live on the Oxon Berks boarder with my finance and rescue collie Onyx. I left school with an A-Level in Art and after several years working in finance I decided to concentrate on my passion of drawing and become an artist.
I use many different mediums, but mostly I work in coloured pencils, Fabre Castel Polychromos, to create my animal portraits. I use high quality paper to achieve the high detail. I do also enjoy painting with both acrylic and watercolours.
Being and artist never feels like work, I am lucky to live in a beautiful part of the country and have my own animals to inspire my original artwork and help with pet portrait commissions. Three of my originals have been on display in a gallery in London, one of which, I received an award for. This was a great honour and the incentive to keep creating.
